Baby Heinz...8 months preggo

Baby shower #1

Last weekend was my first baby shower. It was given by friends. It was small but intimate...the only one missing was my best friend Julie (wish you were there!) Elijah got some cute outfits and a couple of newborn necessities. :) We played a game; everyone wrote messages for the new parents to be; and decorated onesies (cute idea!). Our 1st Anniversary!!

Josiah and I just celebrated our first year anniversary (Oct. 12)....wow! I can't believe it has been a year already! It has definately been a year of learning about each other: how we work together and how to express eachother's needs...basically how to communicate! :)

We spent our anniversary night at La Jolla Shores Hotel (where we got married). We had a really nice dinner at the hotel; slept in and had breakfast in bed (yum!). We both took the day off from work and it was so nice to just be together with no agenda. We walked on the beach; got 20 minute massages at a random place at the mall (but really good); and went to the movies.

Our weekend away...

Jon and Julie sent us on a "Babymoon" last weekend! We used their time share in Indio to relax for a couple of days. It was so nice to be away from the stress of the house projects and just enjoy being together. Josiah and I basically just vegged for two days with no distractions...slept in, watched movies, floated in the lazy river, got really nice massages (I could of stayed on that table all day :)), and had a couple of nice dinners out. It was definately needed...this time away...thank you to the Gross'.
